Screw caps also saves the wines from any potential bacteria or spoiling that can sometimes occur with a cork.
great video! I am a sucker for a well designed label too!

I always get Wine Spectators Top 100 Wines that comes out each December (Best Time of the Year) each year. I get many idea's of wines at a good price to buy, that I can add (Keep) to my lil collection.

Since you love great value wine:
Saladini Pilastri – Sangiovese & Montepulciano blend
    Ludovicus Tinto – Garnacha
Barton & Guestier Vouvray – Chenin Blanc
Cabernet de Saumur, Réserve des Vignerons, Rosé – Cabernet Franc
Honoro Vera – Monastrell (Mourvèdre in France and a ridiculous wine for $8-9)
Garnacha de Fuego – Garnacha and ridiculous for $8-10
La Vieille Ferme Rouge – Grenache, Syrah, Carignan, and Cinsault and should never be more than $10.
McManis Wine – I really enjoy their Petite Sirah but they have a wide portfolio and run $8-10 a bottle

Please note that I am quoting prices from here in Minnesota so I do not know what the pricing will be like out in New York. I could give you a lot more value wine but this should be a good start

+1 on Eastern European wines- Romanian wine regions are the same latitude as the Bordeaux region. Hungary also has some awesome wines. These two countries alone make my absolute favorites! Bikaver Bulls Blood (Hungary) and the Recas La Pulere Feteasca (Romania). Awesome wines, give them a look. You’ll pay $6 to $10 for the Recas depending on type and $9.99 on the Bikaver’s Bulls Blood.
