Tiramisu – the King of Italian Desserts

Who would have guessed that it’s so straightforward to make!

Ingredients:
Savoiardi biscuits
Mascarpone cheese – 14 OZ (420 gr)
Whipping cream – 2½ cups (600 ml)
Heavy cream – 2½ cups (600 ml)
Sugar – 1 cup (240 gr)
Coffee (brewed or instantaneous) – 24 fl oz (700 ml)
Egg whites – 4
Liqueur Amaretto “De Kuyper” – 2 fl oz (60 ml)

1. Make espresso, chill it
2. Whip the cream. Gradually add 100 grams of sugar
3. Whip the heavy cream. Stop whipping as quickly as the cream begins to thicken
4. Gradually combine whipped cream with whipped heavy cream. Add one other 100 grams of sugar
5. Add the mascarpone cheese, combine
6. Add the liqueur, combine
7. Whip egg whites with a pinch of salt to stiff peaks (watch out, don’t over-beat, but when you’ll – add one other egg white to make it regular once more)
8. Accurately add whipped egg whites into the cream, gently stir with a spatula or spoon
9. Dip savoiardi midway into espresso for lower than 1 second. Dip the sugary facet solely. Lay out the savoiardi with the sugary facet up
10. Evenly unfold half of the cream on the prime of the first course of savoiardi
11. Rotate the mould 90 °
12. Lay the second course of savoiardi and unfold the remaining cream
13. Sprinkle cocoa powder earlier than serving. Since after 6-7 hours, cocoa absorbs moisture from the cream and loses its attractiveness

In many recipes egg yolks are used, however these completely don’t make the cream higher, on the opposite, the cream with yolks is extra liquid and yellowy. Egg whites are compulsory in the recipe since they make the cream gentle and ethereal.

    Omg, I'm Italian and this is NOT tiramisù. We don't use whipping cream or heavy cream on it! The true tiramisù has sugar plus yolks, mascarpone and eggs white. Please, stop making tiramisù with whipping cream, it's so sad!

    Looks yumm. But I have to remove the Amaretto. I can't let my 5 and 4 yo children have alcohol now 😅
