Too much oxygenation. If the tube went all the way down the bottle it would be perfect.

Absolutely love the corker, bought it when we started making wine and wouldn't be without it. Recently purchased the bottle filler and will have to make some adjustments. Husband is concerned about the amount of oxygen it puts into the wine being bottled.

Great video! Just a quick correction.

The set screw actually corresponds to the pressure created when the wine reaches the tip of the filler. If the button on top doesn't pop up when your bottle is full, it means you need to tighten or loosen that screw in order for the liquid to create enough pressure for the filler to shut off on it's own.

    Hope this makes sense 🙂

I had to do a lot of adjusting on my bottle filler before it worked perfectly.

A friend of mine has one of these bottle fillers and it does not work at all. It would never automatically shut off, and it is very difficult to do it manually. It made a much bigger mess than just using a siphon tube.
I do have a similar floor corker, and can not live without it.

I have had the same problem at times. The adjustment I made was to the rubber stopper that you insert into the bottle neck. It is hard to move but is adjustable. By adjusting that it changes the fill level in the bottle. But…I still have the same problem you described from time to time.

I have had both of these items for a little over a year and I too am glad I have them. I haven't had a problem with the bottle filler aerating the wine to the point of too much oxygen either. However, it does, at times not stop when reaching the bottom of the base and starts filling up my overflow bottle. I thought the set screw at the top adjusted this but now I'm not sure. you mentioned adjusting something on the base, but it wasn't in camera view when you did it.

The filler is neat but does it aerate the wine too much?
