This is from the archives of my Grandmother, Ethel Eynard.  Jefferson City, MO. 1980.  My father was a diabetic, and discovering tasty baked items that have been sugarless.  This pie is kind of good, and also you received’t even miss the sugar.

Yield: Eight servings.

Sugarless Apple Pie

A  sugarfree pie may be tasty, you may make sugarfree apple pie at dwelling.

Ingredients

  • 2 pie crusts
  • 6 apples Delicious apples, peeled and sliced
  • 6 ounces frozen apple juice
  • 1 half tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Place apples and undiluted apple juice into a big pan. Bring to a boil, cut back warmth and simmer, lined for about 5 minutes.Dissolve cornstarch in water. Gently stir cornstarch into apple combination.

  2.  Bring to a boil, cut back warmth and simmer, lined for 10 to 15 minutes or till apples start to melt. Stir in cinnamon. Fill pastry shell with apples and canopy with prime crust. Bake at 350 levels for 45 minutes. Baste with melted margarine or butter after baking.
