This gained a prize in Our Town paper, then gained the grand prize. It is a unique take in your common Apple Pie.  The cheesecake like filling units this apple pie aside from all others.

Sue’s Creamy Apple Pie

Yield: eight servings.

This apple pie contains a creamy filling with the superbly seasoned apples. 

Crust Ingedients

  • 3/four cup softened butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/four cups flour

Creamy Filling

  • eight ounces cream cheese
  • 1/four cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Apple Filling

  • four cups skinny sliced Granny Smith apples
  • 1 cup chopped Pecans (or walnuts)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 2/Three cup Sugar

The Crust

  1. Beat butter, vanilla, and sugar nicely. and step by step add the flour combine until mushy dough varieties and press into backside and sides of Deep dish Pie pan. Set apart. 

The Creamy Filling

  1. Beat cheese 1/four cup sugar, egg, and vanilla until easy and unfold over backside of crust. Set apart.

Apple Filling

  1.  Mix all apple filling components and layer in round sample. Dot with 1 tablespoon butter. Bake at 400 for 15 minutes after which decrease to 350 and proceed to bake until apples are tender.
