Slimming World Italian sausage risotto recipe

This is a hearty and filling dish and makes an excellent satisfying meal. It’s tasty, creamy and because it’s all made in a single pan it even saves on the washing up! Slimming World sausages can be found solely at Iceland.

Recipe
low calorie cooking spray
1 garlic clove, finely chopped
1 shallot, finely chopped
1 small leek, finely chopped
1 medium carrot, peeled and finely chopped
1 celery stick, finely chopped
half tsp fennel seeds, frivolously crushed
6 Slimming World Italian-style Pork & Beef Sausages
200g dried arborio rice
2 hen inventory cubes, crumbled
three tbsp quark
5g recent chives, finely chopped
5g recent parsley, finely chopped
salt and freshly floor black pepper

Spray a big non-stick saucepan with low calorie cooking spray and place over a medium warmth. Add the garlic, shallot, leek, carrot, celery and fennel seeds and fry for 10 minutes, including somewhat water if something sticks.
Meanwhile, prepare dinner the sausages in line with the pack directions and lower each into six items.
Stir the rice and inventory cubes into the veg. Add 700ml boiling water somewhat at a time – letting the rice soak up every batch earlier than you add extra – and prepare dinner for 20 minutes, stirring typically.
Add the sausages and hold cooking and stirring till the liquid has been absorbed and the rice is cooked to your liking (you would possibly want extra water). Remove from the warmth, stir within the quark and herbs and season to style. Enjoy with salad.
