A easy dish of pasta with a creamy mushroom sauce and contemporary garlic bruschetta. Leeks are a implausible ingredient – low-cost and straightforward to work with and they provide a refined savoury flavour.

if you don't want olive Oil on your lips, leave it out, otherwise all you will taste is olive oil. I can't stand the stuff, and honestly I do not think it helps the flavour

A lot of the food in this series is pretty dated, Gordon is stuck in 2004 just like all his kitchen nightmares are stuck in 1986

I actually tried this recipe back in uni and it was delicious! I was hesitant about using lasagna pasta so I used regular pasta but the texture would definitely be better with lasagna pasta.

Awesome, used a couple of pinches of smoked paprika, swapped tarragon for dill, dropped a handful of smoked salmon trimmings at the end. Fantastic. Cheers GR!
