How To Make Margherita Pizza | Authentic Italian Pizza Recipe | The Bombay Chef – Varun Inamdar

Learn easy methods to make genuine Italian Margherita Pizza with The Bombay Chef Varun Inamdar.

Ingredients
For smooth pizza dough
1 kg refined flour
1 tsp sugar
2 tsp salt
30 gms contemporary yeast or 10 gms dry yeast
50 ml vegetable oil
280- 300 ml water

For the pizza sauce
500 gms tomatoes
10 -12 basil leaves
2 – Three garlic pods
2 tbsp additional virgin olive oil
1/2 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt

For the topping
Italian mozzarella cheese
Basil leaves

Method:
Step 1 ( Dough )
– To make the dough take some sugar, yeast and dough and blend it nicely and hold it apart for 4-5 minutes then add it into the dough add oil, salt and water & knead it right into a smooth dough
– Once the dough is prepared hold it apart for 20 minutes, by masking it with a moist material

Step 2 ( Pizza Sauce )
– Add the tomatoes into boiling water and as soon as they’re blanched add them into chilly water
– Peel them off and lower them into half and take away the seeds
– In the blender add tomatoes, salt, sugar and cloves of garlic and run it right into a easy paste
– Add contemporary basil leaves and additional virgin olive oil and let it marinate for 10-15 minutes

Step 3 ( Rolling Into Thin Crust )
– Take a handful of dough and canopy the floor with flour after which roll the dough into skinny crust and hold it over baking tray
– Top it up with tomato sauce
– Add some mozzarella cheese
– Bake it in pre heated oven at 200 levels for 15- 20 minutes

– Garnish it with additional virgin olive oil & contemporary basil leaves.

    Technically if it were a true Napoli Margherita the dough would have been circular, topped with fresh rounds of whole fat mozzarella instead of shredded and basil leaves would have been added on before it was cooked in a wood fired brick oven. But this is still a great recipe

    Basically in margarita big chunks of mozzarella cheese is used….Weight of the dough is very important for different sizes of pizza 8 inch 12 inch or 6 inch for thick crust n thin crust weight wld be different….Again baking is a very tough job it gets good with experience sometimes u may overcook or undercook a pizza…..I need to say indian people r bad pizza makers u didnt nail an authentic pizza or a good pizza as a chef dont be offensive….
