When your zucchini turn into marrows, this is the dish to make. Or don’t wait and use zucchini anyway because it’s so delicious. Carmela and her granddaughter Anna show us how to make cucuzzil – a family recipe from outside Naples. ‘Cucuzze’, by the way, is a southern Italian dialect word for zucchini or marrow. This marrow was grown in north London.
The recipe is here: http://www.pastagrannies.com/cucuzzil-or-ital…yle-baked-marrow/

I love this dish, but when I make it, I bread and fry the zucchini until it's really crisp. Use panko.

Lovely! By her movement, we can tell appreciatively that the young granddaughter can cook. She has a wonderful teacher in her granny.

I love that these women use their hands and don’t measure, that’s great cooking! My mother never measured either.

Thankyou for this recipe. We got given a very large marrow and I have never cooked with it before so didn’t know what recipe to use. But lasagne is awesome 🙂 will make this for my family
