Hot Italian Sandwiches is a traditional recipe made well-known by Italian American immigrants and liked all through North America. Long gentle bread rolls are full of cheese, ham, salami and pepperoni then evenly baked till sizzling and melted. Perfect for lunch on a chilly day, these infants could have everybody begging for extra – give it a go!

INGREDIENT LIST:

Long Bread Rolls (Hoagies)
Sliced Cheese (something that melts properly)
Thinly Sliced Ham
Salami
Pepperoni
60g of Butter (1/2 Stick – at room temperature)
1 Teaspoon of Crushed Garlic
1 Teaspoon of Dried Mixed Italian Herbs

Preparation Time: About 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 minutes

All measurements and temperatures are in Australian Metric.

    When I was a teen, we had "grinders," they were toasted rolls, shredded lettuce dipped in olive oil with salt and pepper…then salami. That's all and they were delicious!!! You're a nut with the hot Italian reference…you're forgiven. I love how you keep things simple. ❣

    you might have been better pleased with the italian provolone cheese to go with the italian meats. You could also try hot ham like cappicola. yum!!!!
