Jamie, shouldn't you have waited for the food to go for room temperature in the pan instead of straight into a plastic bag?

I came here ready to rip him for not making this the Italian way….I am so happy he proved me wrong! Those are all the "proper" ingredients for a real ITALIAN sauce. Also….despite what you see all over the UK…this sauce should be eaten with Tagliatelle and not the spaghetti most people serve it on. Flatter noodle is better for the meat to stick to.

So many people commenting on what a "real" or authentic "ragù alla bolognese" is, yet there descriptions are all different? XD

Jamie now represents Tesco and has done a variation of this recipe in their Jan 2019 magazine. He has added 200 gms green lentils, 500 gms chopped chestnut mushrooms and 6 cloves of garlic chopped. He omits the celery. I have just made the Tesco version, it is a good bolognese but I needed more than 2 hrs to reduce it as it was quite watery.
